2022 JBL/GBL
NY ROCKits REGISTRATION
The JBL (boys) and GBL (girls) is ideal for beginners and intermediate ballers who want to improve their game. League Director Ed Chan and the coaches will focus on teaching the proper fundamentals in performing lay-ups, dribbling, passing and shooting. We will also help foster teamwork and communication which will develop the athlete mentally, athletically, and socially.
Limited to 60 kids (Ages 9-14 yrs, Grades 4-8)
Entry Fees: $70/CHILD
Includes:
Weekly sessions on Sundays separated by age/grade begin with skills (45 minutes) followed by scrimmages (30-45 minutes). Ample playing time for each player will be stressed so that everyone will have a game day experience!
- 8-week season (skill session followed by scrimmage)
- League Mesh Jersey or T-shirts and Awards for the league championship team
- Providing a fun, healthy & nurturing environment for kids in a team sports atmosphere

COVID-19 Safety
The New York Rockits’ organization and its partners, sponsors and volunteers are focused on the safety and well-being of everyone participating in this tournament. We’re all excited to see our friends again and be back in competition, however we need all your efforts to keep everyone safe and healthy. We have outlined the following safety measures:
- Players should stay home if they’re feeling sick or have any symptoms of COVID-19, and get tested.
- Players are encouraged to get fully vaccinated prior to tournament date.
- Players should have their own face mask, hand sanitizer, towel, water bottle, and tissues labeled with their names.
- Vaccinated players are encouraged to wear face coverings, especially during competition.
- Unvaccinated players must wear face coverings at all times during competition and while on the sidelines.
- Except during games, all players are encouraged to observe physical distancing and keep their face coverings on.
- Sanitize or wash hands before and after games.
Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability
Please read carefully and understand before completing form and submitting your entry fee.
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the JBL/GBL Leagues (November 13, 2022 – January 29, 2023) and its related events and activities, I, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:
I have read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment and personal disciplines may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,
2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in this tournament, I agree to voluntarily assume any and all risks in any way related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, including illness, injury, or death. I acknowledge that my participation is entirely voluntary.
5. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless the NEW YORK ROCKITS ATHLETES IN ACTION, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (releasees), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
