Welcome to the 29th Annual Asian 3on3 Blacktop Battle.
29 years and still a summertime tradition in the Chinatown community. For many of you, it is a chance to get together with friends or family members and play some 3on3 basketball, hang out and frequent some of your favorite Chinese/Asian restaurants. Each year, over 190+ teams participate over two weekends.
Our 3on3 is the battle grounds for all Asian ballers. Tall or short, young or old, male or female, a college player, a gym rat, a street baller or just someone who plays occasionally. There is a division for everyone. Registration for this year’s 3on3 is now ongoing until the deadline of July 13th or earlier, or as soon as divisions are filled.

COLUMBUS PARK
Columbus Park (Mulberry Street) on the corner of Worth Street. In the heart of Chinatown.
Courts: a total of 6 courts; Columbus 1, 2 and 3 located on the corner of Mulberry St. and Worth Street. Ballfield 1, 2, 3, are on the main ballfield/turf area on Mulberry Street

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 13, 2023 @3:00pm
NOTE: No refunds will be given after the team registration deadline. By registering to play in the tournament, you have purchased a place for your team to participate in the tournament resulting in another team not being accepted to play. Additionally, game schedules and officiating schedules are assigned and contracted out. Included in the entry fee are your tournament t-shirts.
Summer weather is unpredictable. Any games that are not played due to rain may be rescheduled or cancelled.

Skill Level: 2 to 5 / 10
Those that play for fun, about 1 time per month. Hoosier divisions are for players looking to have a great time with friendly competition. Players on the team should be of the same skill level. (Players that are playing in the competitive divisions should not be playing in this division)
Skill Level: 6 to 10 / 10
For those looking to test their skills against quality competition, a step up from the Park Baller division. Blacktop divisions are for players looking to test their skills against quality competition.
Skill Level: 2 to 5 / 10
For those who play for fun – Age 35 and up. This division is for players who meet the age requirements looking to have a great time with friendly competition. Players on the team should be of the same skill level (players that are playing in the competitive divisions should not be playing in this division)
Skill Level: 6 to 10 / 10
Somewhat competitive – Age 35 and up. This division is for players who meet the age requirements looking to test their skills against good competition.

For boys age 15 and under. This division is for players who meet the age requirements looking to test their skills against good competition.

Those who want to play the best. Put your skills to the test against the best competition. Our top rated division. For those that want to compete against the best – many of which have played at the high school or college level or those that know they can hang with anyone.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the 28TH ANNUAL ASIAN 3on3 BLACKTOP BATTLE (July 22, 23 and 29, 2023 or any other scheduled date) and its related events and activities, I, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:
I have read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment and personal disciplines may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,
2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releases or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
3. I willingly agree to comply with stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in this tournament, I agree to voluntarily assume any and all risks in any way related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious disease, including illness, injury, or death. I acknowledge that my participation is entirely voluntary.
5. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless the NEW YORK ROCKITS ATHLETES IN ACTION, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (releasees), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
